Hunger and Apetite- Carbohydrates


HUNGER AND CRAVINGS!

Apetite is when your bodies way of telling you you are hungry. If you allow yourself to get too hungry you are craving these starchy foods or the quick empty carbohydrates like dohnuts or cookies. Stick to whole complex carbs like brown rice and sweet potato. If you start your meals by eating some fats and proteins it can blunt the craving for some carbs. Take for instance when you go to a mexican restaurant, you eat chips and salsa followed by a margarita before your meal, that causes a spike in blood sugar. Hunger sets on a desire for carbs because of the bodies tendancy to maximise efficiency and it is a quicker energy source, you are essentially maximising calories for time, which makes sense in the short term if you are in need for quick energy.

Keep hgh calorie foods out of reach or keep them in the pantry out of view. Avoid the serious starches like bread, pasta, cereals. Vegetables and fruits, rice, sweet potatoes are better to focus on for your carbohydrates.
