It is YOUR perfect weight not THE perfect weight.


Is your persuit of the perfect body getting in the way of perfect health?

How perfect is "The perfect body"?. Everyones standards of perfection are different but i think there are views in our culture that give off an unrealistic expectation of what the perfect body looks like.

We all come in different shapes and sizes, and the key issue is health, a good looking body by conventional standards is not necessarily a standard of "health" and is simply a view of asthetics. You need to look at the blood markers and the view of 'stressors' that that persons body is under. By stressors i mean chemical, emotional, mental, physical and spiritual.

Even people with higher body fats may be healthier than those with the slim and trim bodies. Measuring yourself on a scale is not the best indicator of how 'healthy' you are, it is especially not healthy to be doing this every day or week. Body fat percentage is a better indicator, how your energy levels are throughout the day and how your muscles and body perform optimally. Stress can affect your health quite a bit.

How can you start by living a more healthy life? I would mention that sleep is one of the best ways you can start by improving your health. If you can only focus on one thing in your healthy lifestlye, sleep should be the number one thing. Without sleep you can throw off a whole bunch of chain reactions metabolically. As well as a spike on cortisol levels.

Low self esteem is another big indicator of health, if you are not feeling compassion for yourself and feeling confidence in coping with lifes challenges then this can take a toll.

Achieve a healthy body rather than societies notion of a perfect body. I feel the standard of perfection should be health, longevity and wellbeing, psychological, mental health. This is something i include in my programs and help my clients achieve.
