It takes FAT to burn FAT! Carbs are good for you!

Here is an interesting little fact, did you know that CARBOHYDRATES and FATS are vital to fat loss and energy?. Those fad diets out there and myths that CARBS are bad. The right carbohydrates are a chief source of energy for all body functi...ons. Low carbohydrate "diets" work because for every gram of glucose taken out of glycogen (removing carbs) it brings with it 2.7 g of water. This loss of muscle glycogen (including water) can be quite significant in the first week of a low carb diet, and adds to the weight loss on the scale. This is how low carb fad diets can promise dramatic weight loss in such a short period. Long-term success in weight loss is associated with a realistic eating style, not one that severely limits or omits one of the body's essential macronutrients.

Remember it takes fat to burn fat. Try to consume at least one portion of healthy fats each day. I just had fish for breakfast, omega-3!!-what's yours? Some examples of healthy fats include: Monounsaturated – Olive, canola, sesame oil Avocados Olives Nuts and Nut butters ...
